HURON COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The trial for a Sandusky man accused of killing his ex-wife in 2001, is scheduled to being Tuesday in Huron County Court of Common Pleas.
In April 2025, Paul Hicks was indicted on three counts of murder and one count of kidnapping.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said Regina Rowe Hicks, 25, went missing on Oct. 18, 2001 after leaving her boyfriend’s home to pick up her son.
Her body was found on Oct. 22, 2001 in her Camaro in a pond at Section Line Road 30 in Willard, said Yost.
BCI handled the investigation at the request of the Huron County Sheriff’s Office.
Hicks was arrested in Seneca County in April 2025 after he was indicted.
He remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
