The Met Office has issued a series of new weather warnings and a "danger to life" alert with ferocious 90mph winds from Storm Brama sparking chaos throughout the UK.

According to the Met Office , severe weather conditions could pose a serious risk to public safety and infrastructure. As the Storm Brama brings strong winds and heavy rain, flying debris may cause injuries and present a danger to life, while buildings could suffer damage, such as tiles being blown from roofs. Transport networks are likely to be disrupted, with road, rail, air, and ferry services facing delays, cancellations, and possible closures of roads and bridges. Power cuts may also occur, potentially affecting other essential services like mobile phone coverage, the Met Office has warned.
