Aleksandar Stankovic has earned praise in his breakthrough season - but interest from Tottenham in signing him has been questioned.
The 20-year-old, son of Inter Milan hero Dejan, has been rewarded for leaving his father's old club to make his name at Club Brugge .
The Serbian midfielder, who captained Inter's youth side, quit Serie A last summer without making his senior debut for the Nerazzurri.
However, Stankovic has been vindicated in his decision, with 26 appearances already this season, with a goal and an assist.
The youngster played the entirety of Brugge's epic 3-3 draw with Barcelona , and featured in Serbia's 2-0 loss to England last month.
Stankovic was emboldened to depart Inter by the success of his older brother Filip, who is currently impressing at Serie B sid
