BBC antiques expert Jo Roberts was rushed to hospital after falling near her home. Jo, best known for appearing on BBC's The Bidding Room, was out for a walk near her Kenilworth home in Warwickshire when she fell in the forest and broke her hip. The TV star, 73, was with her one-year-old puppy Suzie, who spotted a squirrel in the distance and began to pull at her lead.

This led to Jo stumbling and falling on the hard path, where she landed on her hip. Jo was rescued by paramedics and taken to Warwick hospital, where she had a three-hour operation to replace her hip. Thankfully, Jo's operation went smoothly and she was discharged after spending one week in hospital. The incident, which occurred in October, happened shortly after she had finished filming an episode of The Bidding Room.
