NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department says two people have been arrested in connection to a burglary that allegedly became a barricaded suspect situation.
Police say Ajavion Khalif White, 19, of North Charleston and Ke’Shawn Malik Dean, 18, of Ladson are both charged with burglary in the first degree.
This comes after police responded Sunday around 10 p.m. to a home on Waltham Drive for a report of a burglary in progress.
Officers learned the owners of the house were away and that nobody was meant to be in the house at that time. They say two masked people were inside the home.
Both suspects refused to come out even after repeated orders, according to police.
