A winter weather system will bring several inches of snow and gusty winds to northern Pennsylvania Wednesday, while southern areas will see a mix of rain and snow.
The storm follows frigid temperatures that dropped as low as 12 degrees below zero in parts of McKean County early Tuesday.
It was 13 degrees in Harrisburg at 7 a.m . The high temperature Tuesday is supposed to be 31.
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for northern Pennsylvania counties from early morning through 10 p.m. Wednesday. Snow accumulations of three to six inches are expected across the northern mountains, with the heaviest snowfall likely during late morning and early afternoon.
