The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) will implement the newly revised CGHS package rates from December 15, following a Ministry of Defence order issued on December 5. With a week left for the transition, empanelled hospitals and beneficiaries are required to align with the updated pricing framework, documentation norms and renewed agreements that will replace all existing arrangements.

The revised CGHS rates, earlier notified by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in October, will now apply to treatments at all ECHS empanelled Healthcare Organisations and to medical reimbursement claims for eligible beneficiaries.
