CINCINNATI —
The potential approval of a multi-million dollar settlement over arrests made during protests back in the summer of 2020 in Cincinnati could come Tuesday.
The settlement includes changes at the city's police department in addition to a payout for hundreds of people. Advertisement
City council's Public Safety and Governance Committee will decided whether to sign off on this settlement, which has been more than a year in the making.
Both the city of Cincinnati and Hamilton County have agreed to pay a combined total of $8.1 million. Most of that money will go to more than 400 people who joined the lawsuit, many of which were arrested during protests over the death of George Floyd in 2020.
