CHENNAI: Microsoft announced today that it will invest US$17.5 billion in India, the company’s largest commitment in Asia to date. CEO Satya Nadella said the outlay will focus on expanding infrastructure, deepening talent development, and building “sovereign capabilities” to support what he described as India’s “AI-first future.” The scale of the investment signals Microsoft’s confidence in India’s position as one of the world’s most dynamic digital markets.
