The Indianapolis Colts could be set to turn to 44-year-old Philip Rivers to play quarterback as they continue to be hurt by injuries at the position.

Colts starting quarterback Daniel Jones suffered an achilles injury this past weekend against the Jaguars, while backup Riley Leonard is “week-to-week” with a strained knee ligament, according to Adam Schefter .

That leaves the Colts thin on options at quarterback, and Schefter reports that Rivers is flying to Indianapolis to work out for the Colts on Tuesday.

If all goes well, the 44-year-old grandfather could suit up for Indianapolis this coming weekend.
