The Red Sox have a lot of decisions to make this offseason , and a big question is whether they will re-sign Alex Bregman.

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reported that the third baseman “still appears to be the Red Sox’ No. 1 target, in part because of the defensive upgrade he provided over Rafael Devers.”

Bregman opted out of the final two years of his deal with the Red Sox after spending the 2025 season in Boston. He finished the campaign with 18 home runs, 62 RBI and a .272 batting average — numbers that likely would have been inflated had he not missed 43 games due to a quad injury.

However, Boston seems to be “ pricing every available option ” including Pete Alonso , Bo Bichette , Ketel Marte and Isaac Paredes.
