Jessica Feldmark is withdrawing from the Howard County executive race.

The 51-year-old Democrat posted a message on Facebook saying she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and while the prognosis is good and the cancer is curable, the next several months of treatment will be difficult.

She says she will be seeking reelection as a state delegate.

Three candidates remain in the race to succeed County Executive Calvin Ball, who is term-limited.
