A 41-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after a drunk driving incident led to the discovery of a firearm and narcotics, authorities announced Monday, Dec. 8.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, officers responded to a report of an erratic driver traveling eastbound on Route 46 toward Route 53, Denville police said.
The vehicle subsequently crashed into a parked car on Bloomfield Avenue, police said.
An investigation revealed the driver, Stephen Walker was intoxicated and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance as well as a firearm, police said.
Walker was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, multiple weapons offenses, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving, police said.
