Wrexham have received a controversial £18million grant in public money to support the redevelopment of the Racecourse Ground.
The Hollywood-owned club announced plans earlier this year for a new 5,500-capacity Kop Stand , which would increase their total stadium size to 18,000.
Since their takeover by A-list actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2020, the Red Dragons have enjoyed a meteoric rise, winning three consecutive promotions.
This has taken them from the National League to the Championship, and they are now bidding to reach the Premier League this term.
Funding boost
With huge plans for the club going forward, the Welsh side have been keen to have a home venue to match their ambitions, putting forward plans to upgrade their 160-year home in February.
