Health Canada has recalled multiple models of a toaster countertop oven due to burn risks.
More than 170,000 of the recalled products, called the Oster French Door Toaster Countertop Ovens , were sold in Canada between January 2015 and July 2025, the notice said.
The doors of the recalled ovens can unexpectedly close, Health Canada said, which the agency said could cause a burn hazard to users.
The affected ovens have a spring-loaded glass French door metal handles and the word “Oster” engraved on the front bottom right, the notice said. They also have the model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDGDS, TSSTTVFDDG-033, TSSTTVFDXLPP-033 or TSSTTVFDDAF-033 on the back and on the original packaging.
The product’s company hasn’t received any reports of injuries caused by the ovens in Canada, the
