SALINAS, California — A 40-year-old man from Salinas has pleaded guilty to charges of attempted enticement and coercion of a minor, as well as distribution of child pornography. Donald Ramirez used social media platforms to exploit minors, according to court documents.
Ramirez reportedly sent a 12-year-old girl a photo of his genitals via Snapchat and demanded explicit images from her. He also distributed child sexual abuse material through platforms like Telegram and Wickr, involving another female minor he communicated with on Snapchat. Ramirez is set to be sentenced on May 11, 2026, facing a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California.
