South Wirral High School in Eastham, Wirral, was placed under a precautionary lockdown this morning following a report of a threat in the local community.
The lockdown was triggered after a 15-year-old boy was reportedly threatened by two males with a bladed weapon on nearby Plymyard Avenue.
Merseyside Police were called to the scene at around 8:40 am on Tuesday, December 9.
The school confirmed the lockdown was brief, that the incident occurred off-site, and that all students and staff remained safe throughout.
No one was injured during the incident, and the two suspects reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Police are currently conducting inquiries to locate
