LANSING — One man was critically injured and another was shot in an early morning incident on the city’s eastside on Dec. 9.

Lansing police responded about 2:07 a.m. to the 900 block of Eureka Street and found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said. He was transported to a Lansing area hospital with life-threatening injuries, she added.

Police later learned that a second victim, a male whose age was not released, arrived at a Lansing area hospital with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Gulkis said.

No arrests have been made and investigators are working to determine more about the incident.
