WASHINGTON — A 35-year-old California man who died on a Royal Caribbean cruise last year was served at least 33 alcoholic drinks before his death, his family alleges in a lawsuit.
Michael Virgil boarded the Navigator of the Seas in Los Angeles on Dec. 13, 2024, with his fiancée, Connie Aguilar, their son and other family members, documents filed in the Southern District of Florida stated.
According to the civil complaint filed by Aguilar, after being served "at least 33 alcoholic beverages" as part of an unlimited drinks package, an intoxicated Virgil tried to find his cabin and became agitated when he got lost.
