A woman has shared the reality of living with a cat who doesn't understand he can't be fed right now.

Kourtney, 27 and from Oklahoma, has had her adored pet cat, Mr Kitty, since she was 12 years old — and at almost 16, Mr Kitty is very much tied into a routine.

"He free feeds dry food , but he knows when I get up for the day he gets wet food," Kourtney, who gave her first name only, told Newsweek .

Recently, however, Mr Kitty had to go for a few hours without food , as he was due a procedure at the veterinarian's — and to say he was unhappy about it is an understatement.
