A New York woman made the purchase of a lifetime, winning the top prize in the New York Lottery’s New York Millionaire scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.
Ann Grethe of Morrisonville claimed the $1 million prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $436,171, after required withholdings, according to officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at Market 32 by Price Chopper, located at 19 Center Drive in Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh is located approximately 140 miles north of Albany.
As of this writing, there is one top prize remaining on the New York Millionaire ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
