There's an old, well-known adage that states a footballer is “never bigger than the club” he plays for. For the last three days, the footballing world has been ablaze with the one-sided slanging match between Mohammed Salah and Liverpool Football Club.

He claims someone at the club wants him out , and is basically one fishing rod away from putting on a tinfoil hat. I have been a Liverpool fan since I was six – 30 years overall – and have seen hundreds, if not thousands of players come and go during that time.
