WASHINGTON — The fourth hour of "Today" officially has a new permanent co-host.
NBC announced Tuesday that Sheinelle Jones will join Jenna Bush Hager as co-host of the 10 a.m. hour, now renamed "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle."
Jones will officially step into the role on Jan. 12, becoming the first permanent co-host for the hour since Hoda Kotb’s departure earlier this year .
“This marks an exciting new chapter for the fourth hour,” "Today" executive vice president Libby Leist and Jenna & Friends executive producer Talia Parkinson-Jones said in a statement to NBC News. “Jenna and Sheinelle are two extraordinary talents who have grown within the ranks of 'TODAY.' They are beloved for their authenticity, warmth and genuine connection with our 'TODAY' audience.”
