The magazine announced Wilson as the recipient of the honor on Tuesday.
Wilson, who helped guide the Gamecocks to a national championship in 2017, led the Las Vegas Aces to their third WNBA title in four years.
That was on top of a record year that also saw Wilson take home the league’s scoring title, be named the league’s most valuable player and defensive player of the year, as well as becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to score 5,000 career points.
Wilson was also named WNBA Finals MVP after the Aces swept the Phoenix Mercury in four games.
