SURING (NBC 26) — Suring Public Schools closed early Tuesday and activated their student reunification process following an incident earlier in the day.

According to a Facebook message from Superintendent Bob Caelwaerts, all students are being released to parents and guardians at the designated reunification site at St. John’s Church.

In his post, Caelwaerts did not provide details on the incident.

The district is asking families not to return to the school campus until further notice as staff work to ensure the building is safe.

Only parents, guardians, or adults authorized on a student’s contact list will be allowed to pick up children. Photo ID is required for verification, and buses will not run during the reunification process. Families of students who usually ride the bus must go
