WASHINGTON — After years of being an audio-first app, Spotify is finally leaning into visuals, rolling out music videos in beta for Premium users in the U.S. and Canada. The update lets fans switch from a song straight into its official music video.
The move comes after Spotify says it successfully tested the feature in beta in nearly 100 markets last year.
The new feature gives users access to a growing catalog of official music videos, including studio versions, live performances and select covers. While the library is limited for now, Spotify says it will expand quickly.
Artists with music videos available include Ariana Grande, Olivia Dean, BABYMONSTER, Addison Rae, Tyler Childers, Natanael Cano, and Carín León.
