PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's a treasured tradition, and the newly re-branded Philly Pops are bringing their holiday concert back to the city this weekend.
"What really sets this Christmas concert apart is that there is no sound like the Philly Pops," says newly-appointed Philly Pops Music Director Christopher Dragon.
This is a big year for the Philly Pops. The storied musicians reclaimed their name this summer.
"The Pops are back and stronger than ever," says Dragon.
The highly-acclaimed Australian native says he's thrilled for this renaissance for the Philly Pops.
After two transformative years, this is a brand new chapter.
"We're just excited to be back," Dragon says. "I think my job is coming in and really trying to continue the legacy that this orchestra was built on."
