Philadelphia Phillies And Kyle Schwarber Agree To A Five-Year MLB Deal

MLB Insider Jeff Passan was one of the first to report the news of Schwarber’s signing. The designated hitter will remain in Philly for another five years. Schwarber might retire in a Phillies uniform, considering his age would be 37 after his contract ends.

Schwarber agreed to a $150 million contract after weeks of discussions. The Pittsburgh Pirates offered the All-Star a four-year MLB deal that’s worth $100 million. However, Schwarber’s chances in Philly were pretty concrete.
