Sandie Peggie's daughter has spoken out after her mother was found to have been unlawfully harassed by NHS Fife in a row over sharing a staff changing room with a trans colleague . NHS Fife were taken to a tribunal by the nurse of 30 years after she refused to share a Kirkcaldy hospital changing room with Dr Beth Upton - a biological male who identifies as a woman. ‌

Hospital bosses then suspended Sandie Peggie from the A&E department in Victoria Hospital following a row in December 2023. Under NHS guidance at the time, transgender men and women were allowed to use the changing rooms aligned with their declared gender identity. ‌
