HOLT, Mich. (WILX) - After more than three decades with the district, Holt Public Schools Superintendent Dr. David Hornak is retiring.
Hornak announced plans for his retirement, effective at the end of 2026, at Monday’s Holt Board of Education meeting .
Hornak leaves after 32 years with the district, including time as a young fives teacher, kindergarten teacher, first grade teacher, Holt High School soccer coach, elementary principal and for the last 11 years, superintendent.
“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve so many remarkable students, families and athletes over the years. For some of you, I’ve had the privilege of reading your first story in school and for others, I read your last story as you crossed the stage at graduation,” Hornak said at Monday’s meeting.
