NEW ORLEANS —
The U.S. Marshals have arrested a New Orleans murder suspect who has been sought since 2022.
According to a news release issued by the U.S. Marshals Service, William Powell, 43, was wanted in connection with the murder of Ciara Bullock. Advertisement
He is accused of killing Bullock in the 3000 block of South Saratoga Street on March 19, 2022.
Following the crime, U.S. Marshals said Powell fled to Jackson, Mississippi, where he then vanished.
The New Orleans Task Force reached out to the U.S. Marshals after receiving a tip in November that he was possibly in California.
The U.S. Marshals said they closed in on his location, but Powell vanished again.
The U.S. Marshals found Powell on Dec. 8 living in a beachside community in Morro Bay, California.
