On Tuesday at 1:34 p.m. the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from Wednesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Saratoga, Warren, Washington and Ulster counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. The highest amounts reaching up to 6 to 7 inches in the foothills of the southern Adirondacks," can be expected according to the weather service. "Snowfall rates up to 0.5 to 1 inch per hour Wednesday morning through early afternoon."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes," states the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling."
