Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced on Dec. 9 that Dennis Mitchell Jr., 42, has been indicted for child sex trafficking and other offenses.

In November, Glendale Police arrested Mitchell at a Phoenix motel on what is known as “the blade.” The area is a stretch along 27 th Avenue between Indian School Road and Northern Avenue known for prostitution.

A 14-year-old girl told police that she had been staying with him in a room they used for prostitution. She left to get help after Mitchell struck her during an argument. An adult female victim who had been staying with Mitchell also was rescued.

Mitchell has been indicted on the following charges:

One count of child sex trafficking, a class two felony and dangerous crime against children

One count of aggravated assault, a
