MADISON, Ohio (WOIO) - An 80-year-old disabled Navy veteran received a new roof Tuesday from Home Genius Exteriors and Home Genius Cares as part of a community partnership program.
Allan Endelmann, who has lived in his Madison home for 30 years, is bedridden and considered a fall risk, making everyday tasks nearly impossible.
His roof had been leaking and showing visible signs of damage from water penetration.
The Home Genius Exteriors team spent Tuesday replacing Endelmann’s more than 30-year-old roof at no cost.
The project was made possible through partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and Owens Corning.
Company has strong veteran connection
Tim Dunphy, the company’s chief growth officer, said the project holds personal significance for the team.
