Joseph Janney’s journey to Montana State took an uncertain route.

The quarterback from Klamath Falls, Oregon , attended an MSU football camp over the summer. He impressed MSU’s coaches there, but they already had a big group of young QBs and a commitment from another Class of 2026 signal caller, Kalispell Glacier’s Jackson Presley.

In late July, Presley flipped his commitment from MSU to Sacramento State (he terminated his contract with Sac State last week after head coach Brennan Marion took another job ). That put Janney firmly on MSU’s prospect priority list.
