The girls basketball teams at Gallatin High and Bozeman High both made the state tournament last season, the third consecutive appearance for the Raptors and the first since 2023 for the Hawks.

It was just the second time since Gallatin High opened in 2020 that the Raptors and Hawks both made the girls state tournament in the same year (joining 2023). Both teams enter the 2025-26 season with the intent of making it back to that stage — so the Raptors can defend their first title in program history and so the Hawks can be among the challengers.

Bozeman begins the season Thursday at Helena Capital, followed by a game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at home against Butte. Gallatin starts on Saturday at Helena High.
