Kyle Schwarber’s free agency ended with him returning to the Philadelphia Phillies , but he did have options to weigh.
The Baltimore Orioles matched the Phillies’ five-year, $150 million offer for the slugger, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal .
Other offers, per Rosenthal , included a five-year, $125 million offer from the Cincinnati Reds and a four-year, $120 million deal from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
One source told Rosenthal that Baltimore’s offer “essentially forced the Phillies to offer the same terms.”
