BUFFALO, Minn. — The man charged with killing a female co-worker will now face a charge of premeditated murder after a grand jury indictment.

David Bruce Delong, 40, of Watkins, Minnesota, is accused of swinging a sledgehammer multiple times at 20-year-old Amber Czech, of Hutchinson. Both worked at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato, which specializes in servicing the food and dairy industry.

On Dec. 5, a grand jury composed of citizens in Wright County was convened to investigate the death, according to a statement from the Wright County Attorney’s Office. Following a presentation from Wright County Attorney Brian Lutes, the grand jury unanimously agreed there was enough evidence to charge Delong with murder in the first degree with premeditation for “bludgeoning Amber Mary Czech w
