The union representing Transat AT’s TRZ-T 750 pilots says it has agreed to a tentative labour agreement with the company, averting a shutdown of the Montreal-based operator of Air Transat.
The agreement must be approved by a majority of union members at an upcoming vote. Details of the deal were not immediately available.
“We have reached a tentative agreement with Air Transat management on a collective agreement,” the union said in a memo to members seen by the Globe and Mail on Tuesday night. “We are incredibly proud of our pilots, your exceptional display of unity and unwavering support.”
