Jason Manford has been left 'heartbroken' after a raging storm battered his beloved Christmas decoration. The Salford-born comic has had a rough start to the festive season after his favourite outdoor display was wiped out.

His towering nutcracker statue toppled in strong winds, snapping off one of its arms and leaving the 44-year-old gutted. The giant figure had stood proudly outside the front of his home in Stockport before the weather sent it crashing down.

TV funnyman Jason discovered the festive carnage on Sunday (December 7), as reported by What’s The Jam. The star is currently appearing in Robin Hood at the Opera House Manchester this Christmas, and said the nutcracker helped “welcome” him home after long days of “pantoing”.
