SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The Sarasota Police Department (SPD) are asking drivers to avoid the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Central Avenue, while a crash is being investigated.

Officers are currently on scene.

Officers say that the crash involves a vehicle and pedestrian.

One woman was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
