DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Street maintenance leaders in Duluth spent the day organizing crews in preparation for our second round of snow in two days.
Margie Nelson with MnDOT saying, “you might not see the plow, but that doesn’t mean we’re not out there doing our work.”
MnDOT has had plow drivers out nearly all day preparing for this new round of snow Tuesday night, and they aren’t slowing down now.
“We’re going to be running crews 24/7, our crews stay out as long as the snow is falling,” said Nelson.
MnDOT snowplow routes are built around how much traffic each road sees, meaning a road like I-35 will see more frequent plowing compared to rural streets.
Plow team leaders like Geoff Vukelich with the city of Duluth say these back-to-back clipper systems are difficult to hand
