Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Madison on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of 2115 Durham Road (Route 79) in Madison around 7:21 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Madison Police Department .

The identify of the person killed in the crash was being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin, police said.

The department, in coordination with the South-Central Connecticut Accident Reconstruction Team, is investigating the cause of the crash.
