STILLWATER — The shockwaves from last year’s storybook run are still being felt among the Stillwater girls’ basketball team. The group reached heights unlike any before it in the program’s history, but with that comes the challenge of defending its place at the top of the hierarchy as a new season begins.
“I think we have a target on our backs more than we've ever had before,” said Stillwater junior forward Andie Luskin. “We know that every single team is going to want to beat us because of how we did last year. But I think as long as we handle it and we just play our games, it’s going to work out.”
