WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Wareham Department of Natural Resources said two common dolphins were rescued after they were found stranded in a marsh on Dec. 8.
Officials responded to the area of Beaver Creek off the Weweantic River after receiving reports of two stranded dolphins.
Officers arrived and found the two dolphins “active and alive” in the marsh, according to the WDNR.
A preliminary exam was performed on the dolphins, who were then transported for a full evaluation.
