PORT ANGELES — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 101 and 112 slowed traffic for more than an hour Tuesday afternoon, according to Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue.
The collision was reported around 4:30 p.m. at Laird’s Corner. Fire-Rescue units had just been dispatched to an earlier wreck near Lake Crescent, but after determining that incident was non-injury, they diverted to the Hwy 101/112 crash.
Initial reports indicated multiple vehicles were involved and that someone might be trapped. When the first crews arrived, they found all occupants had already gotten out on their own. A pickup truck blocked the westbound lane while a work utility truck had come to rest in the south-side ditch of Highway 101.
The scene required alternating one-way traffic — and at times a full closure
