CARBONDALE — The Carbondale city council allowed a pair of rezonings to establish small grocery stores in town among a packed agenda on Tuesday evening.

One location at 2020 S. Illinois Ave. was rezoned to SB, Secondary Business, in order for the property to be developed as a retail store with some groceries.
