SAGINAW, MI – The new coach chose comfort over wholesale changes.
And the Heritage girls basketball team looked extremely comfortable Tuesday, giving new coach Taryn Taugher a win over Midland Dow in her first game as the Hawks’ coach.
Heritage’s defense dominated the Chargers, leading to a 55-22 Saginaw Valley League North win at Heritage.
“We’ve made a few changes, but we’ve kept the players pretty much where they’ve had success the past few years,” Taugher said. “They’re doing the same things they’ve been comfortable doing.
“We’ve tweaked a few things on defense, being more aggressive and pushing the pace.”
