It would be easy to look at the All-Central New York duo of Xavier Doty and Koby Drake and say yes, that’s the reason for Fulton’s 2-0 start to the season.

But for second-year head coach Kyle Perry, his juniors are just the tip of the iceberg.

So of course, Doty’s 33 points and Drake’s 21 points played a major role in the Red Dragons’ 79-63 victory over Baldwinsville on Tuesday, but Perry said it was his team’s defensive mindset that held the Bees to just seven first-quarter points.
