ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A move by the Trump administration will impact historic sites managed by the National Park Service across the country, including monuments like the Castillo De San Marcos in St. Augustine.
The list of free entry days to national parks has been changed for 2026, with some notable changes; MLK Day and Juneteenth, among other days included in 2025 , are no longer listed.
Millicent Adams says she’s seen headlines of the recent changes to the list, and she is not a fan.
“It breaks my heart because Martin Luther King Jr. was a hero and taught us so many valuable lessons,” Adams said.
